better than TENTACLES!

Did TENTACLES from 1977 homage this film in any way?

No it didn't. Tentacles didn't have an octopus as large as the one in It Came From Beneath Sea. Tentacles was in the same vein as Grizzly which was quite shocking as well.

The octopus in It was gigantic.

The octopus in Tentacles appeared to be about the size of what a Giant Squid would be so it was more believable.

Only problem is that Tentacles was awful and the octopus scenes were'nt done very well.

I do not think so. Actually, I think Tentacles is as good as this movie. Like this one, it had likeable and well developed characters, a good storyline.
