'GET OUT!'

Ooooooooh, when he said that to the nurse, now that's a good performance, it doesn't even SOUND like James Dean when he's talking, does it?

^^^ What's that line got to do with James Dean's personal life??? ^^^
It's strong, but can someone please point out why it's so powerful? The nurse is a bitch.

I saw this site and it says:
''East of Eden is an acknowledged John Steinbeck classic, and the starring debut of James Dean lifts it to legendary status. Sam Edwards was used to loop some of the emotional yelling scenes of James Dean.''
Does anyone know if that's true?

this is the site:

Cause I noticed that there was a lot of looping(aka ADR or dubbing) in the film.

Actually I thought it sounded like James Dean yelling. I love that part because you can see his father smiling when he sees his son yell at the nurse. Then his father is able to ask him for something to show that he forgives him.

Not everything James Dean acted was to do with his personal life.

He could have just been an amazing actor, and understood the actor's need to be with his father and how bloody annoying that nurse was lol.
