I liked the following movies a lot so I'm looking for similar ones:

A Streetcar Named Desire
East of Eden
Splendor in the Grass
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Rebel Without a Cause
Giant
West Side Story (though it's actually not exactly like the other ones)

So these types of Tennessee Williams/Elia Kazan/Paul Newman/Marlon Brando/Natalie Wood/Elizabeth Taylor/James Dean (though all of his films are already included in the list) movies are what I'm looking for.
Here are some movies that could fit the bill, though I haven't seen them yet so I'm not sure:

Baby Doll
Guys and Dolls
A Place in the Sun
Gypsy
Suddenly, Last Summer
Sweet Bird of Youth
The Long, Hot Summer
Sex and the Single Girl

Anyone who could add some more movies to the list would be very helpful! :)

on the waterfront (elia kazan)
summer of 42 (the main character reminds me of james dean from east of eden)
grease (similar to west side story)
james dean 2001 (a biopic about the life of james dean)
national velvet (a sports movie from elizabeth taylor childhood)
the towering inferno (steve mqueen&paul newman)

from here to eternity

haven't seen any of the last three but the first two stare montogomery clift and the third is a marlon brando movie

Two more that come to mind are SUMMER AND SMOKE and DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS.

Also COME BACK LITTLE SHEBA, and PICNIC.

From Here To Eternity was excellent. Montgomery Clift was wonderful and the actong was really good.

So I'm going to suggest that one!

I also want to see A Place In The Sun - I've only heard good things about it!
