Anne.
I can't recall if Anne was Kate's daughter, therefore making her Cal's half sister. That's the only reason I can think of for Cal and Anne not ending up together because their chemistry was too good to go to waste.

shareNo, Anne was just a worker. She might have grown up to be a fellow prostitute. The chemistry was there to show Cal had a way with the ladies and could use it to get what he wanted (to see Kate). His heart lay with Abra.
CDEGFEDCC. (Shhh!)
I think it was such a waste. I completely get the reason the scene was like that but to me it was more than just seducing her to get to his mother, there was something there. I didn't even liked Cal and Abra together.
shareLois Smith was brilliant in the part.
I think I'll have a large order of prognosis negative.
