Jean Wallace...
looks so much like Grace Kelly in this movie. I thought it was her. They're both pretty. =)

Yes, she was pretty. And I thought she looked so sad throughout the whole movie, desperately sad. I found it hard to believe it was just acting. And then I read on imdb that she attempted suicide in 1946 and then again in 1949!
Thank heaven she failed! She's a very important element in the unique atmosphere of this film. She was married with Cornel Wilde for 30 years, did you know that?

Jean Wallace and Grace Kelly are two of my favorite beauties but I don't think that they look much alike at all.
shareI was thinking she was more like Veronica Lake.

I also was struck by how much Jean Wallace was made to look like Grace Kelly. I'm sure it was not just coincidence. Grace Kelly was a big star by the time this movie came out and the makers of this film obviously decided to cash in on some of that fame by having Jean Wallace in just the right hairdo, makeup and lighting to resemble Grace Kelly as much as possible.
shareJean Wallace was a knockout. Grace Kelly was pretty. Nah, both of them were beauties.
