One of the great western series!

Cheyenne was one of great western series of all time! Very enjoyable, even when the acting wasnt all that good. Yes, Ill admit, when it first started, Clint Walker, not having any other acting experience, wasnt much of an actor. But as he went along, he grew into it, and became as good if not better than the more recognized actors of his day. Not to mention his good looks! Tall and handsome, honest and gentlemanly, Cheyenne was and still is a great role model for our youth.

Clint had this deep and very soft voice. Definitely a man of action, he never needed to yell or talk tough.. 6 feet 6 inches and well built, he was a hero for many of we young pre teens at the time. He had this way of just folding back the cuffs of his highly starched shirts just once. Instead of rolling them back twice or three times. You always knew the Cheyenne fans because that is the way we wore our shirts too.

He might not been a very strong actor, but was as good as many others. Guess he just didn'thave the strong personality of John Wayne to get more roles.

The higher we raise ourselves, the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly! FN

Was he really that tall 6ft 6in? He did indeed make his horse look small!

I was six or seven when I started watching Cheyenne in the early 1960s. Walker's Cheyenne is iconic. The tall soft talking Westerner who brings justice to a wild and unsettled land. As for Clint, he made Superman look like a wimp. The man had forearms like Popeye. What a treat it is to watch the first season again on DVD and see Walker on the screen with a young James Garner and, in one episode, a very, very young Michael Landon.

I was only 7 when I started watching Cheyenne in 1955. In today's language - He's The Man. He was soft spoken, not easily provoked, a real gentleman, and a real Hero and role model. If more men were like Cheyenne the world would be a better place. Clint Walker sort of carried the same characterists to his part in the Dirty Dozen. Clint made the show.
