'Riot at Arroyo Socco' --Close Shave?

Today's episode on Encore Westerns, Riot at Arroyo Socco, involved a devastating drought in which water was more precious than gold...or someone's life. Yet, about all the townspeople, including Cheyenne, were clean shaven. I guess they all used electric razors.

The bar wasn't too dry, yet. ;) Plenty of liquid there.

I suppose it's just one of those things, it wasn't important to the story. In the episode where Cheyenne spent the winter in high camp (no pun) looking after a herd of cattle. He needed a shave badly when he came down from the hills. The beard represented, passage of time, how cut off he was from civilization. And when he again met the owner of the cattle, the beard opened up some nice dialog between Cheyenne the cattle owners lovely wife.
