Traitorous Scum!!! Scaliwags!!! Ne'er-do-wells!!!

Da noive o'some people!! Imagine this, a good western hero never messes with another man's horse, and yet, Maverick did!

In the very last scene of "Gun-Shy," Maverick is riding off with Freddie 'awkins and guess what horse he's on?

Yes, those nefarious rotters gave Maverick none other than Cheyenne's Amazin' Appearin' horse, Brandy, to ride. Oh, the humanity of it all!!! How dare they!!!

Is there no level to which Warner Bros. will stoop?

reply

Brancy needed more screen credits to become eligible for a pension, and Warner's were just obliging. How you can turn that into something bad is beyond me. Jack Warner should be commended not condemned.

reply

LOL to me!! The darned horse's name was Brandy, not Brancy. My bad!!

I knew ole Jack Warner liked chasing skirts, but horses? Say it ain't so!

The Warner Brothers affection for equines was dramatized in the classic film, Three Men on a Horse.

The good news is that the Western Channel appears to be starting over with Season one. I watched episode 1, 2 and 3 over the weekend. Cheyenne is not riding Brandy. Maybe they were still in contract negotiations with him at that time. On a side note, as a 'horse person' I have noticed how well the horses used on the show are taken care of. They are all fat and shiny.

Yup, al-336, that they were.

Talk about the abuse of a great star!! In "The Wedding Rings" (1962)ep # 85 Cheyenne visits a small town in Mexico to repay a debt he feels he owes. To make amends he agrees to help out by putting in the crops. Here's the outrageous part. Our friend Brandy is forced to endure the indignity of having to pull a plow. The very idea! No wonder it took so long for Brandy to sign his contract. I hope they made it worth his while. Pulling a plow for Heaven's sake. I'm outraged.
