Rest in Peace Cosmo Allegretti (1927-2013)

Very sad news today, it has been announced that Cosmo Allegretti passed away recently at age 86.

I just loved Mr. Moose, Dancing Bear, and Bunny Rabbit, they really loomed large in my childhood. It wasn't until years later that I learned they were all due to the genius of the same guy who played Dennis the painter, Cosmo Allegretti!! What a contribution this man made to the art of children's tv! I can not imagine the series Captain Kangaroo without Cosmo Allegretti's contributions to the show. I had always hoped TV Land would notice he was still around and award him on their TV Land Awards Show honors for his astonishing contributions to television but alas it didn't happen but his immortal characters will live on through the memories of millions of children of yesteryear. RIP Mr. Allegretti and thank you.
