This site indicates that Keeshan played the Captain through 1988, but also says the series went into the early 1990s. Is that right???

shareKeeshan played the Captain until 1984 when he allowed his contract with CBS to expire. He was fed up with the network's constant shifting of the show's schedule and the change from a one-hour format to a half-hour and back again to one hour. Repeats then ran on PBS from 1986 into the early 1990s, which is probably what IMDb is referring to.
