Millcreek Season One dvd set

Hi,

The first season of 'The Adventures of Robin Hood', as released by Millcreek in 2008, uses twenty episodes that appear to be sourced from 35mm; the audio and visual quality on these episodes is outstanding. However, the other nineteen episodes vary in quality, as they were sourced from 16mm; information regarding those prints is as follows:

None of the episodes in the set include any of the commercials, but nineteen of them feature special treats:

"The Coming of Robin Hood"-has the opening for Wildroot
"The Moneylender"-the source is a worn 16mm print
"Dead or Alive"- " " " " " " "
"Friar Tuck"-The opening credits have been replaced by a freeze frame of the
closing 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' sign-off
"Maid Marian'-the source is a worn 16mm print
"A Guest For The Gallows"-This print features the 'Richard Greene plays Robin
Hood in The Adventures in Sherwood Forest' opening
title
"Queen Eleanor"-has the opening for Wildroot Cream Oil
"Checkmate-this episode is not as sharp as a 16mm print, but if it was
sourced from a 35mm print, the print is not up to the standard of
the twenty 35mm film prints used for the set
"The Highlander"-has the opening for Wildroot Cream Oil
"The Youngest Outlaw"-has the opening for Johnson and Johnson (see the
episode 'The Children of The Greenwood for an alternate
opening
"The Jongleur"-has the opening for Wildroot Cream Oil
"The Sheriff's Boots"-the source is a worn 16mm print
"Errand of Mercy"-the opening credits are cut at the point before the opening
billboard extension
"The Vandals"-the source is a worn 16mm print
"The Deserted Castle"-the source is a worn 16mm print, BUT the opening credit
title 'Richard Greene plays Robin Hood in The
Adventures in Sherwood Forest' is substituted.

"Children of The Greenwood"-has an announcer opening for Johnson and Johnson,
but the ORIGINAL 4/2/56 airing was sponsored by
Wildroot Cream Oil and NOT Johnson. I own a 16mm
CBS film print, complete with the original ads.
"Secret Mission"-has the opening for Wildroot Cream Oil
"Tables Turned"- " " " " " " "
"The Thorkil Ghost"-the source is a worn 16mm print
