Influences some elements of upcoming Indiana Jones 4...

Mutt Williams, a character in Indy 4, emulates the style of Johnny in many ways - and drives a T-Bird.

In stills, the Inidana Jones character, Mutt, sadly appears to be riding a Harley Davidson and not the cooler Triumph despite pinching Brando's entire Wild One wardrobe !

reply

Brando himself would ride a Harley if the movie was made today.

reply

No,his mind couldn't have become that POIZONED!He was way too cool to allow blind patriotism to dictate his choice of mount.I reckon he'd have gone for a nicely restored and mildly warmed 1970 Triumph Bonneville, just like mine!Let's face it and i know Mr.Tsx will nod in agreement,Harleys have always been for squares.

reply

I do nod in agreement, sir !

Indeed, in The Wild One, Brando's Triumph Thunderbird was his own so why choose a Hardly Dangerous now ? Brando was so never the flag-waving patriot and , if he could fit his later bulk upon it then he would still choose a Meriden and not Milwaukee beast ! (his rolls of fat would get caught in his old T-bird's sprung saddle !

The 1970 Bonneville is the classic Triumph but I think an '83 Triumph TSX would be more appropriate with it's strong oil-bearing frame, low seat height and electric start saving his pudgy legs from any kick-starting effort !
