I was obsessed with this movie when I was a kid

That is all. I loved Ethel Merman, I loved the sparkly costumes, I loved the show family concept. Oddly, the one character that I did not like was Marilyn's.

I was also obsessed in a way with this movie when I was a kid. The only reason I watched was because MM was in it, but I had no idea she had such a supporting role.
In a way this is very un-Marilyn a character, she is such an outsider and an accessory to the whole movie!
