Oliver Niles’ bedroom
Certainly not how I would expect a studio head’s bedroom to look. Very basic. No headboard, nothing on the walls. Paperwork or scripts or something piled everywhere. I would think that he’d have an office for that.

shareStudio heads aren’t always the producer or writer types focused so deeply on their projects or the craft itself. I’d imagine they take a lot of meetings, network, work public relations and administrate. Set the tone in a conference room environment. I doubt he takes his work home with him, except during a crisis.
Those at the top often have the luxury to be lazy as long as they project the right image when needed. Probably favors simplicity at home and avoids clutter.
I actually have no idea what scene you are talking about. I do know Oliver Niles is the Charles Pickford character—ally to Maine and Vicki Lester.
Strange thing to focus on in a movie with deep melodrama and epic musical numbers.
Shame about all the lost footage, huh? Do you have the version with the still-shot sequences and voice-over audio dialogue?
