Gunsmoke theme music.

I just watched this movie on Encore Western movie channel and noticed the music played throughout was the theme to Gunsmoke.They didn't run end credits, so I'm not sure who it was credited to.

Look under the complete credit list page, and original music is attributed to Arhur Lange and Emil Newman.

The music you recognize as being from Gunsmoke is actually attributed to Arthur Lange as uncredited stock music.

To me it sounded kind of like a cross between Wagon Train and Victory at Sea!
