influenced Body Heat

Body Heat isn't a remake but if you pay attention to the earlier parts there's some dialogue very close to Body Heat and even some of the music is very similar. Body Heat is in no way a rip off and the second half has nothing to do with this movie but I think it definitely was part of the inspiration. It was pretty good but then the second half got clumsy and didn't make sense. Inspite of the problems with the script and directing Kim Novak showed her potential out of the gate. It's very Film Noir and it's too bad they were going out of style at the time so it was one of the last of the era. Kim Novak excelled at Film Noir and and Fem Fatale roles.

From what I've read, Body Heat was an update of Double Indemnity. Regardless, all three films are good and flow the same direction. You're right about one thing, Kim Novak was a knockout in Pushover.

It is somewhat "noir." This was not the source of inspiration of "Body Heat." Novak excelled at "noir"?

Since Body Heat is one of my top ten favourite movies, of course I noticed the similar music phrase that was repeated throughout the movie. Don't know if it was a coincidence, but I liked it. Pushover had partly the same vibe as Body Heat.
