I thought this was a very thrilling movie. It was enjoyable watching the fear, the panic and desperation play out between the main characters. If the story is somewhat predictable, you still never really know the order of things or what exactly Paul will force himself into next. The lies become bigger and bigger and the suspense stays with it. PUSHOVER is an easy favorite for me.
shareIt's a good one. Reminds me of Double Indemnity - a person in a position of trust takes advantage of his position in order to help a femme fatale commit a crime. Fred MacMurray was great in both roles!
I also liked seeing the relationship form between that other cop and the neighbor.

Just watched it last night, as it is showing on a local station here in Nashville area right now.
I agree. I found the plot to be very complex and clever. I felt they could have fleshed out Fred MacMurray's characters decision to "go bad" a bit better but overall I really enjoyed it.
