SHould I buy this on DVD or wait for Blu Ray release?

The Blu Ray comes out in Feb but should I just buy the DVD?

As someone who has the DVD already, On the Waterfront being one of my favorite films, I'm looking forward to the Blu-Ray release. But one can purchase the DVD on eBay for as cheap as $5. The Blu-ray will be significantly more expensive and you have to wait until February.

That’s a very interesting mixture of poetry and meanness.

The blu is getting astonishing reviews, and is being labelled one of the best releases since the format was introduced.

I would definitely wait for it.

A Criterion bluray will probably not be surpassed in quality on the format

Great films are few and far between. You can only see them for the first time once, see this one at it's best.
