One of the greatest and most romantic cinematic kisses

That scene when Terry barges into Eddies apartment, all wracked with guilt and passion and kisses Eddie, the way they just seem to be sort of melt into each other against that wall..sigh..what a great moment, and then so heartbreaking when you hear Terry being called, knowing he is seconds away from discovering that his brother is dead.Undoubtedly, the climax of the movie and a magnificent one at that.

Stallone borrows this scene in "Rocky".

That scene was so scary. When I first saw the film I thought he was going to rape her.

I reckon that's what you were supposed to think, but remember Terry has his gentle side too, seen with his brother, the rooftop boys, the pigeons and principally with Edie.

He was never going to hurt her, but he needed her company, then, more than ever.

Yeah, it was a bit rapey.

I know the meaning of life, it doesn't help me a bit.

I think you need to check out a few more films if you think that was romantic. That was crude and harsh, yes it was passionate, but it was more about other feelings like guilt than romance.
