Why do they have to kill Joey Doyle?
I just saw the movie and it was great. Marlon Brando deserved that oscar. I think I wasnt focusing completely. So my question is, why do they have to kill Joey in the first place?
shareJoey Doyle was going to "talk to the commission," or they at least suspected that he would. They (Friendly's organization) was not confident that he would play "D and D" (deaf and dumb). So, they had two reasons to kill him, to shut him up and to make an example for others.
