They should bring this to DVD!
I can only catch it when it airs on AMC. I want it on DVD!

I agree, my mother is in this movie. She is the head nurse and has a small speaking part and is in several scenes. I have a copy recorded from TV but would like to buy a DVD. My mother died when I was 17 and this is the only way my children will know their grandmother.
shareInteresting! What was your mother's name, and was she in any other films?
Fox has been pretty good about putting out their library on DVD, usually in excellent prints, so there's hope they'll issue this one day. Frankly I'm surprised they haven't yet, as it's a Gregory Peck movie -- they haven't released his THE GUNFIGHTER yet either.
Meanwhile wait to see it broadcast on Fox Movie Channel (FMC). The studio leases out some of its library to AMC for several months at a time, then takes the titles back for showing on FMC. Unlike the now-awful AMC, which interrupts films for ads every 10 minutes, cuts them, and never runs them widescreen, FMC usually runs clean prints, letterboxed, and always uninterrupted. They typically run each title once a month, usually in early-morning-to-early-afternoon slots for older films like this one. You can record it from this channel and have a pretty good copy until the real DVD comes along.
ONE DVD is available here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/GALATEA-SHOP
shareand when they do make sure it's widescreen. FMC is not HD on directv and when I watch it the picture is like a postage stamp between the pillar box and letter box format which really sucks.
