If Peter Jackson gets his remake off the ground, may I suggest Tom Hollander for Guy Gibson and Kenneth Branagh for Barnes Wallis. Can't think of anyone else who would work so well.

Tom Hollander at 41 is a bit too old to play Gibson who was only 24 at the time of the raid

Good point, but I can't think of any 24 yr olds who've got what it takes.
