Of course the lead actors like Bogey, Fred MacMurray, Van Johnson and Jose Ferrer got the billing. But hey, did y'all notice a very young Lee Marvin along with Claude Akins and Jerry Paris (Dick Van Dyke's next door neighbor in The Dick Van Dyke Show) all in this movie? Really a terrific cast.

I'm very impressed as well how George Bailey's brother Harry managed to work his way up the ranks from helmsman on the Caine to become a Navy flier who saved the lives of hundreds of men.
I recognized, Jerry Paris (from the Dick Van Dyke Show), Lee Marvin, and Herbert Anderson (Dennis the Menace), without his specs. I thought the role of Keith's mother was played by Ann Doran (James Dean's mother in Rebel Without a Cause), but it wasn't her.
