Every time I've seen it on TV, or in a special it was in black/white, yet when I saw it on Netflix yesterday, the whole movie minus the prologue was filmed in COLOR! ξ

I was trying to be funny again...your question reminded me of those late Saturday night SF film showings (we got to stay up late cause dad was out draining bottles of Mateus)and the inception of 'tubeless' solid-state TVs. This and other ,now classic , films had real impact then. But instead, I waxed nostalgic.
