Harper Carter who played Norman Sturges

In the credits Harper Carter who played son Norman Sturges is listed as "uncredited". Does anyone know why he was not given screen credit? He is one of the main characters and the scene with Clifton Webb at the end during the sinking and he calls him "my son" is the most powerful and heart wrenching one in the movie in my opinion.

I wholeheartedly agree the most touching scene of the movie. I aIso wonder why he is listed as and uncredited.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Maybe cause he was just a kid ??

Edmund Purdom (Lightoller) was also uncredited and he was no kid. Old movies were pretty arbitrary in which cast members were credited and which weren't.
