Schlocky dialogue

What's up with 'AHH-lice, I dont want to be a Ro-man, I want be a HU-man'!

reply

Good line, and it doesn't stop there, either. What comes next is among the "top ten greatest movie speeches of all time":

--------------------------------------------------
The scene:
"Ro-Man the monster" has been ordered to kill the beautiful young woman he loves.

The line: (spoken by Ro-Man with force, passion and heartfelt anguish):
"I cannot, yet I must. How do you calculate that ? At what point on the graph do 'must' and 'cannot' meet ? Yet I must, but I cannot !"

Schlocky dialogue ? Technically you're right of course, h_olu, but only because the speaker of this dialogue - "the powerful alien invader Ro-Man" - is a gorilla wearing a deep-sea diving helmet with a TV antenna on top. Otherwise, this would be among the most beautiful and poetic speeches in cinematic history ! (No kidding !)

Director Phil Tucker always meant it so. I just love this #%&! movie, and have long since "forgiven" him for his blind enthusiasm.

reply

"You're so bossy you outta be milked before you come home at night."

I find the movie refreshingly innocent of irony or campiness, and refreshingly full of bubbles!

reply

Everybody seems to forget "I have been instructed to kill you. Now I must do it with my hands".
