Alternative title?
Somebody once told me "Robot Monster" also went under the title: "Robot from Mars". Is that true, or was this person confusing RM with a different film?

According to IMDb, its TV title was "Monsters from the Moon."
shareThanks. Somebody on the IMDB "Cult Movies" messageboard confirmed that RM was reissued several times after its original 1953 run and it went under many different titles.
This is what they said:
"It was re-released as MONSTER FROM MARS...I had an original poster that was title-switched with a piece of paper pasted over the original ROBOT MONSTER title. Talk about cheap...funny thing is that the tagline on the poster denoted that it was an invasion from the moon! Moon, Mars....same thing...ROBOT MONSTER was the original title."
So, I think its safe to say over the years RM went under several different titles if you add up the theatrical reissue titles along with television broadcast titles.

Years ago at Comic Con they use to show an 16mm print of ROBOT MONSTER under the title of MONSTER FROM MARS and in small letters at the bottom of the movie screen was written Formerly Robot monster- Didn't Ro- Man come from the planet RO-Man?
