Dirt on DVD

Sadly, Fox never took care of their classic films. When I bought "The Robe" with the paintings of the cast on the DVD cover, I was disappointed as the film has dirt specks throughout the film. They didn't bother to digitally restore it. I hope the latest version with the shadow of the cross, was "cleaned-up" but it does not say digitally restored. Years ago, a local TV station aired "The Robe" and the film was in bright green. Evidently, the film dyes had shifted. A disgrace! At least Turner did a great job restoring "GWTW" and "Wizard of Oz"; they are spotless.

The film is available on Blu Ray disc with a restored version. No dirt.

Scorsese, in his introduction, does say that the DVD was digitally restored. It looks gorgeous.
