Marcellus's trial...one of the best scenes in the movie
The trial scene near the end of this movie was very well acted by all involved. I especially liked Jean Simmons authoritative performance as she proceeds to tell Caligula exactly what she thinks of him and his corrupt empire. She holds nothing back, lets it all out...and Jay Robinson as Caligula reacted as perhaps one would imagine a corrupt and feared emperor would...with fear and outrage.
