Jesus wasn't crucified, says theologian after much research.

Contrary to how Jesus is shown being executed in the Hollywood Biblical epics of the 1950s, including “The Robe”, it appears that, according to the theologian in the link below, he wasn't crucified after all, as there is no historical evidence that the Romans used that method of execution in first century Judea.

So what is your motive in plastering so many imdb boards Christian films with this "news"?

The "scholar" is obviously not very good because he completely ignores the skeleton of a Jew crucified in Jerusalem, approximately from the time of Jesus, which clearly shows that nails were driven through the heels.

Clearly, your own approach to this issue is enormously uncritical.

I cannot see the air when the wind blows, does that mean the air is really not there?

reply

Man, really? That's so weak. A five year old could counter that. Um, let's see: you can feel air physically when the wind blows around you. You can see its effects when the leaves and branches on trees move or flag moving because of the wind. The fact you breathe it in to survive is also a good one. Or how about cyclones, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, monsoons etc.,?

I hope you don't use that lot. Hey, do you also use the gravity one?

Muslims believe that Jesus wasn't crucified. I read about a Bible found in Turkey 1,500 years ago that states Jesus wasn't crucified. Of course Turkey has been mainly Muslim since, what? the 900's but that's only 1,100 years ago. Still...

Anyway...who cares? If Jesus was electricuted in Old Sparky, that would be on buildings or around their necks. If he was gassed they'd probably wear a vile of gas around their necks. If he was shot, they'd have bullets and/or guns as symbols. Why they chose a torture device as the lasting symbol of their savior is beyond me.

Well, I wouldn't worry about that if I were you. Considering the difficulty you're having understanding a symbol as simple as the Christian cross, I suggest you spend what remains of your time trying to understand some of the weightier related subjects.
