Difference between Neverland and Pleasure Island?

I'm showing my son the old Disney classics, and we watched Pinocchio right before Peter Pan, so the similarities between Neverland and Pleasure Island are sticking out to me. Both are places where boys run wild and can do whatever they want. Pleasure Island was portrayed as bad, Neverland is portrayed as the the most wonderful place ever. Just interesting, that's all!

Taking back IMDB message boards....one ignored Troll at a time.

Yeah. Pleasure Island was more symbolic of hedonistic-like living in the real world. Didn't the boys have to smoke or something before they turned into donkeys? Anyway, that's what I got from that. The boys were seeking "pleasure" and they got turned into donkeys. Whereas Neverland is more a place of innocence where one can stay a child forever. Not that that doesn't come with its own consequences.

I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.
