I read in the Trivia section here that Bobby was the first male to play the title role on film. But Pinocchio and Bambi are male and were voiced by male actors wern't they? Unless does that note mean something else? I just don't understand it.

I think you misunderstood, Bobby is the first male to play Peter Pan (the title character) on film. In fact he's probably the first male to ever play the character period. Before this Peter Pan on stage and in the 1924 movie were played by a woman.
