Peter Pan's Pointy Ears
I never understood why Peter Pan was given pointy ears. He was never some magical being...he was a human child who just so happened to live in a magical world.

shareMaybe he had them sharpened with plastic surgery. I hear some people do that.
Or maybe they're fake. Maybe he's a die-hard trekkie.
I never understood that either, I suppose the idea was to make him other worldly, but I never thought it was a very good one.
Maybe he's been in Neverland so long it's having a physical effect on him? Or maybe overexposure to pixie dust?
Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
I think his time in Neverland has altered him a little from being human. He has been in a magical land for so long that he has picked up fae characteristics, but he is still a human boy as well.
sharePeter's pointy ears are a reference to Pan, the Greek god of mischief, in addition to also being the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature of the mountain wilds, hunting, and rustic music, and is a companion to the Nymphs...And yes, he did have pointy ears.
shareI think it best to consider Peter Pan as a magical being. Even though he might not have started out that way. I wish those pan pipes that he played sounded more like pan pipes though. So that he was even more like the God Pan in mischievous disguise.
