If you're a Flynn fan, by all means see it
"Crossed Swords" is the rarest Errol Flynn swashbucker, and considered his least. While it can't be denied that the film's budget limitations become obvious in the film's climactic duel, with obviously plastic window panes and rather rickety furniture falling apart, it does have one thing going for it...Flynn in better shape than he was in his earlier Fifties swashbucklers. He is doubled less than in AGAINST ALL FLAGS and THE MASTER OF BALLENTRAE before it and THE WARRIORS afterwards. And there's an enthusiam there missing from the later title.
