I love your favourite films list on your profile! Even Cronenberg's, Videodrome, which is one of my great loves! And Altman's, McCabe and Mrs Miller, which is one of the great achievements in American Cinema. Beatty's soliloquy is extraordinary - the words of all men who have tried in vain, but failed. Hamlet said it All, but there are footnotes!

Ophüls was one of the first to realise that the camera was the eye and that the eye can see All!

I can't wait to see Ophuls' best films, I've only seen The Reckless Moment and La Ronde.
