Is there going to be an American DVD of this film coming soon? I liked Letter from an Unknown Woman very much, and was tantalized by the opening minutes of Madame de..., which I saw on YouTube.

It's out and it's gorgeous. The select commentary from P.T. Anderson explains his humbled affection for the film and the techniques he's borrowed from Ophuls (I guess he found Ophuls through the work of Fuller). Buy it if you can, it's well worth every red cent.
