Main music motif lifted from 'The Harvey Girls?'

The two signature bars of the theme waltz almost seem to be lifted from the 1946 musical 'The Harvey Girls'. They are identical.

"It's a great big world" melody starts around 1:30.

The lines "I bought a bonnet to suit my face / I had a my petticoat trimmed with lace..." are the exact same notes!

Ophuls was working in Hollywood from 1941 to 1951.

I knew I recognized the tune from somewhere; it's been haunting me.

Am I anywhere near the imaginary cliff?
