Creepy Joan

Who else thinks that the close ups of Cathy as Joan of Arc were the creepiest thing about the film? Especially accompanied with that mournful trumpet sound. And I could swear that in the scene just before Sue removes her wig, Joan's expression has changed and looks even more sad and tragic. Perhaps it was just the camera angle, but it was very effective.

This scene was one of the best in the film, and probably ahead of its time. The suspense builds until the wig is removed, along with the trumpet music.
This film is one of my favorites in the 'horror' film category and remains a classic today.

Now that I've read this I have to rewatch it again! I didn't really notice that.

I think the monkeys at the zoo should have to wear sunglasses so they can't hypnotize you.

That scene creeped me out so much I didn't want to watch the film again but guess what, I did.
