See HOUSE OF WAX in REAL 3-D!
3-D fans and historians will get a chance to see the reel thing this Saturday, October 22. The beautiful Lafayette Theatre in Suffern, New York will present the original 3-D classic HOUSE OF WAX, starring Vincent Price and Charles Buchinsky (aka Bronson.) Plus, as an extra added treat, you'll see a gorgeous restored print of BOO MOON with Casper, the Friendly Ghost - and the always entertaining Slick Slaven will show you how your favorite movie stars will look in 3-D in the extremely rare short, STARDUST IN YOUR EYES. Noted 3-D historian Bob Furmanek will be on hand to introduce this special show.
The Lafayette Theatre, built in 1924, is the only vintage movie palace in the New York area which is equipped to present true Polaroid 3-D properly; utilizing two 35mm projectors interlocked (both in sync and in phase) for maximum stereoscopic presentation on a highly reflective silver screen. The clear Polaroid glasses provide maximum depth and comfort - don't confuse this 3-D with the inferior red/blue anaglyph process. If you've never seen a classic 3-D movie presented properly, this is the perfect opportunity.
And that's just one show in their spectacular HORROR-THON weekend, which also includes new 35mm prints of SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, BRIDES OF DRACULA, THE SHINING, THE EXORCIST, and two extra special events: the gala premiere of SPOOKTACULAR - featuring NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD with rare horror trailers, and the classic 1927 version of THE CAT AND THE CANARY, presented with live musical accompaniment by Jeff Barker on the Lafayette's fabulous Wurlitzer organ!
