'This is my assistant Igor, he's a deaf mute.'
Maybe my favorite Vincent Price line of all time. The way he says it his hilarious.

shareSo true. It's hilariously politically incorrect.
Rhetorically speaking, was anyone "pc"back then? I had to keep from laughing out loud at that line because I had flashes of "Young Frankenstein" running through my mind...
"Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin badges"
I found it quite hillarious when the police detective was slapping Igor around and yelling at him to "TALK!" Sure couldn't get away with that today.
shareIn reference to the police slapping Igor around and not getting away with it today...they would not have gotten away with it for too long anyway. That was CHARLES BUCHINSKY they were pushing around. (He's the guy that went on a vigitlante mission in the 1970s.) And played at least one MECHANIC. Not someone to fool with. At all. Deaf mute or not.
Yeah I had forgot about that!
shareWell, if you had an assistant today who was a deaf mute, how would you introduce him to people?
You: "This is my assistant Igor. Well, I'll leave you two alone to get acquainted, bye now.."
Igor: "ooo ooo ooo ooo".
Other person: "WTF!"
I liked how he introduced him to Sue.
"Igor isn't impolite. He simply can't talk."

This was after Igor answered the door because some guy rings the bell?!?!?!
How the Hell did he hear the bell if he was deaf?
Meh. You don't see what happened inside the museum. Price's character could have easily tapped him on the shoulder and motioned toward the door. I'm amused that several found it amusing when it's easily explainable.
