A Particularly Cool 3D Effect
I saw this in Baltimore as a re-release in the 70's (having also seen it as a kid in the late 50's, I think.) This one particular 3D effect will be lost when watching this in your living room, but it was perfect in the theater: During the big fight scene during the fire Charles Bronson enters the frame from behind the camera. The effect is that he ran into the film from the audience. It was a fleeting moment, but I was blown away at how well it worked.
