how scary is this
cause it looks very scary
i love twilight
That depends on how familiar you are with horror. It was quite scary when it came out (for that time), but from today's standards, not so much.
"Klaatu barada nikto"
I saw this in 1953 (in 2D) at the age of 7. It was the first big budget, color horror movie I ever saw and I spent most of the time hiding behind the seat and only coming up when the music wasn't so scary.
After that experience I sought out every horror and science fiction movie I could find. I'm still a fan of the genre (although I don't care for blood and gore films).
I also got a chance to see it in the 1980's when a NYC retro theatre presented it (and several others) in 3D.
The screen has been awash with gore for several decades now. The bloodless House of Wax is no longer frightening and has taken on a quaint aura. It is still one of the most enjoyable fright films of the fifties.
To God There Is No Zero. I Still Exist.
Just watched it for the first time (at the age of 42 haha) seeing as it's Halloween, and I wouldn't say it was scary to me but definitely at times creepy. I couldn't help noticing from very early on how well made the film is and was impressed with the cinematography. Enjoyed the film a lot and I know I'll enjoy it even more next time round. Good to see 'Morticia Adams' and 'Yeoman Rand' in the cast to :D
sharescares the crap out of me.
hate the music when sue is creeping round the museam on her own and chase through streets is scary *beep*
It's a very good film that I would recommend to anyone who is a big fan of classic horror films, but it didn't scare me in the slightest and I honestly couldn't see anyone being scared of it this day and age with people being so desensitized to being surrounded by horror.
I've been waiting for you, Ben.
Well, I personally thought it got quite creepy, even chilling at times. The whole sequence where Price's character reappears after the fire (kills two people to wax them) and then chases Sue Allen through the streets is particularly frightening. But, whether you find it scary or not, in the end it's one excellent and fun film with a foreboding atmosphere. And besides, a very effective Vincent Price is a must-see.
Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
I find it creepy that a character is able to get out of his wheelchair and drag his shuffling feet along. His pursued target knows that no matter how fast they run, that troggy monster following is never going to give up it's pursuit. Scary stuff.
