I remember seeing a john wayne movie where a dog was killed with a machete. Is this that one?

Most dog killers are conservatives.

The rest of it, I waste.
That's the reason why dogs gets killed, because we hate when it happens and it makes us dislike whoever did it.

shareYou are getting this movie confused with Big Jake as the other posters have noted - this could be due to the fact that the same breed/color dog is used in both movies, and they both die in Hondo and Big Jake!
I wonder if the Duke had a fondness for this type of dog? Or maybe as a tip of the hat to his earlier movie?
