Showing on Turner Classic Movies again!
On September 24th, Sunday night at 10:45 eastern, "Genevieve" will be shown again on cable on Turner Classic Movies. The print quality is very good. Hopefully this film will come to DVD eventually.

shareIt just started! I'm watching it now.
shareA delightful movie, with Kenneth Moore and the gorgeous Kay Kendall.
Plus a look at a lost England.
The Joyce Grenfell character is a precursor of Basil Fawlty.
I came in during the middle and didn't quite understand things. Though delightly -- it was so delightly, I decided mmediately to look it up on IMDB -- it all seems so strange. If I see it running again, I will have to see it from the beginning. Glad you all sem to enjoy it.
It will be showing again on TCM on Nov-7-06. You can go to TCM's website and setup a reminder and they will email you a couple of days before it shows.
shareI liked your comment about a look at a lost England. Even though i'm Irish, I spent a lot of the early 50's visiting English relatives on my mothers side and watching this makes me so nostalgic for a wonderfully warm era, and it sad to see that those wonderful locations are now overrun with dual carriageways, high rises etc.
One question: I noticed during one scene of "Genevieve" that they were driving on a 3 lane road, (I presume the centre lane was for overtaking), but when were they introduced? anyone help?
