Deborah Kerr vs Joan Crawford
Crawford was assigned the role but thankfully Deborah Kerr replaced Joan and got the role of Karen. Everyone knows Crawford would have slept with Lancaster and any other Man, Kerr was more subtle.

Deborah Kerr was wonderful as Karen Holmes.
And Burt Lancaster was too. Incredible actor, magnetic, charismatic, there's no actor like him today.
I've seen this film many times, never tire of it. Once a year on December 7th.
