I am a huge kubrick fan and i have all of his other not-so-hard-to-get films.
i'm FINALLY about to put my hands on "fear and desire" as well.
i heard there's nothing much to expect, and perhaps kubrick denounced this film with good reasons.
but hey, a fan is a fan, right?

I got a DVD off e-bay - but just as I suspected, it was a crappy bootleg. Even though it said "All-Regions DVD" - it would not play in my DVD player - my only option was to watch it on my computer. So you take your chances when buying the DVD - but if you want it (basically just to have it) - check on e-bay periodically.

I've seen worse though. At least it had some interesting characters and dialogue. I'll admit it's not a good film - but I didn't think it was THAT bad.

IMDB gave it a 6/10, which isn't bad at all.
