Are you sure it was this movie? The remake in 1958 was Missile To The Moon, basically the same movie but not as much fun.
I compared the casts on IMDB. It was DEFINETELY "Cat-Women". I recognized Sonny Tufts and Marie Windsor instantly.
You're right, an alternate title to Cat-Women was Rocket to the Moon. I didn't have the Movies! Channel at that time or I would have watched it. It's definetely a "Classic".
