Stone's Penthouse

is it just me, or is Vince Stone's penthouse completely frikkin' awesome, or what? the terrace is only visable during the final scene, when Stone runs out there after he's shot Debby. but man, what a cool place. i realize that it was probably just a stage set, but still, it excites my imagination. i want to live there. and having Gloria in the joint wouldn't be so bad, either...while we're daydreaming....

That apartment is the reason I came over here! It's gorgeous and I want it sooo badly!:-D

I'm so glad someone commented on this. I always remember that amazingly tacky penthouse, crammed to the brim with Lang-ian motifs (the Greek Key wallpaper in the foyer kills me!). I mean, I love a lot of Lang films for his weird and occulty set-pieces, but Stone's is one of the best—after Joan Bennett's place in Woman in the Window.
