THE BAND WAGON is one of five musicals that Warner Brothers home video will release on DVD on March 15, 2005 (the others are BELLS ARE RINGING, BRIGADOON, EASTER PARADE, FINIAN'S RAINBOW). It will be a remastered 2-disc special edition with the following features:

Disc One:

- New Digital Transfer from Restored Picture and Audio Elements
- Soundtrack Remastered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Original Mono
- Commentary by Liza Minnelli (daughter of Vincente Minnelli) and Michael Feinstein
- Fred Astaire Trailer Gallery
- Subtitles - English, French and Spanish

Disc Two:
- New Making-of Documentary Get Aboard! The Band Wagon
- In-depth Documentary analysis of the career of director Vincente Minnelli
- Outtake Musical Number Two Faced Woman
- Rare, Vintage Vitaphone Musical Short Jack Buchanan with the Glee Quartet

I got it on the 15th...haven't had a chance for an uninterrupted viewing until now. Took great self-control to wait 2 days. It's absolutely glorious. Nothing beats a clean, restored print of that fabulous 50's Technicolor. Beside the fact this an all-time favorite for me.
