Two-faced woman
Whatever happened to the outtake?
Why isn't it on the DVD?
Anyone knows?

Hi
Just saw your question.
The outtake Two-faced women is only on the american DVD version.
Yes, I can confirm that "Two Faced Women" is an extra on the Zone 1. Strangely and disappointingly, it's the special feature that DIDN'T make it on the Zone 4(Australia & New Zealand - where I'm from!). Beware if you are wanting to buy it on Zone 4! Zone 1 is MUCH better since it does have the Charisse outtake on it.
There is a review on michael.dvd.com.au (which rates Zone 1 vrs Zone 4)saying that it probably isn't that a substantial thing to get the Zone 1 edition over the Zone 4 since it's only "Two Faced Women" (and the rough 'dailies' footage) that's missing from Zone 4. I'm assuming he hasn't seen the footage or else he would have fallen head over heels over it! "Two Faced Women" footage is like a GOLDEN bonus feature! Though the other docos on the bonus disc had me a bit interested, "Two Faced Women" really drew me in! I bought both editions (R1&R4) but ended up giving the Zone 4 one away.
I watched "Two Faced Women" yesterday. Absolutely sizzling!!!! Only very minor qualm about it is that the footage is not restored to the quality the movie was (but that's only minor - footage is better than none, and it still sizzles!) Regardless, it's still gem to watch! I'm also dumbfounded how this didn't make it in the final cut!

"Two-Faced Woman" is a number for Cyd Charisse that was filmed and then deleted before release. The vocal track was then used for Joan Crawford in Torch Song.
"She is strong as a cow, and just as amiable."
